During their most recent string of concerts, The Hip chose not to play any songs from IBE. Perhaps they feel that IBE is their weakest album or maybe they think songs from this album just don't resonate with fans.
I find In Between Evolution a very listenable album and always enjoy it when a song or two from this album makes it into a setlist.
How would you rate the songs from IBE. Gus and Scar appear on Yer Favs and Nashville has a video. Are these the three best songs?
Rank the songs on IBE from most favourite to least favourite (ie. #1=most favourite --> #13=least favourite).
Here's how they appear on the album.
1. Heaven is a Better Place Today
2. Summer's Killing Us
3. Gus: The Polar Bear from Central Park
4. Vaccination Scar
5. It Can't Be Nashville Every Night
6. If New Orleans is Beat
7. You're Everywhere
8. As Makeshift As We Are
9. Mean Streak
10. The Heart of the Melt
11. One Night in Copenhagen
12. Are We Family
13. Goodnight Josephine

With just about every Hip album, there seems to be 4-5 songs I absolutely love, 4-5 songs I think are good and 2-3 songs I might just skip over.
This album seems to be the exception. All the songs seem to be at the same level and blend together nicely. I don't skip over any songs but I don't believe any would make my top 20.
That being said, if I was forced to rank the songs I would flip the order completely starting with Josephine and ending with Heaven.

IBE is my fifth favorite Hip album! The whole album really does flow quite nicely, especially the first half.
You're Everywhere is a personal favorite of mine, as well as Gus, Vac, and Copenhagen.
I'm not quite sure why the band didn't play anything during the 2011 tour from IBE -- maybe because That Night in Toronto heavily focuses on the 2004 material, so the Bobcaygeon doc/concert video will have a different vibe.
Night is Forgetting, the 2005 version, probably should have been on IBE, making it even awesomer!!!

I think IBE gets treated like a middle child. Doesn't stop it from being my favorite.
