I dont come on here much, sorry if it's been discussed.
Due to the fact there is no album out, can we assume this setlist of greatest hits will be what each stop on this tour is getting?
Don't get me wrong I like them all and Im sure it's a fun show, but give

There's been plenty of discussion on this topic in the show review threads. My take is that it's partly due to the documentary they were filming (camera crews have been spotted at more than a couple of shows so far). I'm also getting the impression that with the guys being so busy with side projects and solo albums over the last little while, they didn't get a chance to rehearse at all for this tour. So they're sticking to a rigid setlist of the songs they're most comfortable playing. That and the fact that most bands usually stick to a greatest hits-style setlist for outdoor festival shows. As I said in one of the other threads, I have no doubt that when the new album drops and they embark on a proper tour, they'll be mixing things up just like they always have. Have faith!

The only thing I don't understand is that they've done the festival circuits plenty of times before, and have never resorted to such static setlists before. Look at the 2006 summer setlists which was basically the same situation (mostly festivals, a few small shows), and the setlists for those shows were amazing.
I understand them wanting to play crowd pleasers for festivals, but there are plenty of "hits" that they could rotate so we don't have to hear all the same songs each night (ie boots, 38, twist, pistols, greasy, thugs, scared, springtime, fireworks, something on, lake fever, silver jet, vaccination scar, lonely end of the rink). At least then there would be some variety.
Pretty disappointing IMO.

After seeing the Windsor show. I am going to say the band didn's spend any time rehearsing for these shows. Hense the boring setlist. In addition to the lack of rehearsal time, most of these shows were the Festival types and I doubt the band did any rehearsing at soundchecks (like they do in smaller venues where they can be very private about it).
Just my two cents. I think the guys will be back mixing it up next time they do an actual tour :thumb:

I can confirm that they spent the entire weekend rehearsing in Peterborough prior to the Tuesday show.It is a greatest hits festival tour.I will say that just a few years ago we were blown away when they played a couple of these songs,and now we bitch about them being played.We should remember that some of these shows are being made into a dvd,which in reality is for us,"The Fans".I wouldnt worry too much about them being washed up.
