What a great band. I love their complete disregard for the standard industry procedure of waiting 2-3 years between albums. They just keep churning out new material every year (or whenever they feel like it), and the albums are always excellent. I'm still digesting this year's "The Big To-Do" album, and now I've only got a short 3-month wait before I hear more new music from them. It's amazing! They also have a documentary coming out soon, hopefully on DVD as well. Here's some info on the new record, as well as the official track list:

And here's a preview video from the Truckers' website:

I was going to post something a couple of weeks ago, the video they released for "Used to be a Cop" is great, it's a really cool song. Now, if only they would come anywhere near Cowtown I could go see them...

Here`s the trailer for the new DBT documentary "The Secret to a Happy Ending". The film comes out on DVD the same day as their new album. It looks amazing. Can`t wait to see it.

I saw these guys open for Tom Petty in Detroit last summer. Great band! They only played a shoink thert set, but it was awesome. Unfortunately for me, I don't think their tour dates will include the Rock.

Picked up a copy of their documentary "The Secret to a Happy Ending" at HMV yesterday. Amazing film. By far one of the best rock docs I've ever seen. They really dive deep into the band's history, as well as the musical and social-economic history of the region where they come from. It also features plenty of awesome live footage covering the last few years right up until after their troubled split with Jason Isbell. Fascinating stuff. If you're a fan of music documentaries, it doesn't get much better than this.

I don't have a store that would sell that near me and on a trip to the "city" last week I stopped at three places looking for it to no avail. I have another trip to Boston this weekend, hoping I can find it.

I found the dvd at Newbury Comics in fanuiell hall in Boston...great store. It's a good documentary that made me realize realize some bands tour because they have too...road life can suck. I also caught coco but wished they played another song. they did that track on fallons show...and it's a cover.?. GoGo Boots is a grower for sure, but the dvd is making me miss Jason. His two solo albums are very good, but if the 6 great songs were on the last couple dbt albums they would be outstanding. I got the idea on the DBT boards to make a mix throwing in some of the 400 unit songs....that's my weekend project.
