I haven't been around in a little while but has there been any word when the WATS DVD/CD is due to be released, or any news on it for that matter?

I may be mistaken but wasn't there a rumor that they were releasing a cd/dvd? I may have them mixed up with another band with the whole DVD thing but isnt there at least a plan for a live cd?

It had been on Wikipedia that The Hip would release a DVD of one of their shows in Hamilton, ON from the last tour. It turns out it was a lie put on Wikipedia by a member here who has fallen into disfavour on the board. Sorry for the confusion. No DVD or CD/DVD.

Not so fast...pretty sure gord d mentioned somewhere about wanting to release something from this tour. Can't recall the quote, but I remember thinking "DVD" when I saw/heard it. Anyone else know what I'm talking about?

Yeah, the Abbotsford show is essentially the DVD for the tour we have. I don't recall anyone mentioning seeing camera booms at any other show in 2009, so ignore everything you heard mrsardo say.

Ok so no DVD, but is there any hope of a CD? I thought I remember an interview with Gord that said they were recording the shows and I remember seeing crowd mics in Chicago.

I thought they released their Live from the Bathouse session on DVD and had a live disc from the tour in a DVD/CD package, but then I woke up.

yeah, this is the set that had Blonde Solid #2 with the accordion and a fifteen minute version of Gems in which Downie passed me the mic to take over the end of the song after he sang "'I'm kinda dumb and so are you, Tanz ..." There was also a t-shirt. And punch and pie.

(p.s. the upsetting thing about joking about the live DVD/CD package is that REM actually just did this with their Live at the Olympia set, which kicks ass)

I honestly thought gd said something about wanting to do something special as a memento of the tour? Don't remember what interview it woulda been though, since I've seen minimal press from this album/tour. Maybe it was a reference to the movie theater deal, or the intimate venues. Or possibly my brain is messes from having to write report cards all week.
