Anybody familar with the venue?I see they have underground parking at the theater,but my high top conversion van usually wo'nt fit.I see that you are also subject to searching your vehicle?Any open lots close by.Any info would be appreciated.

Hi,

There is a free lot a short walk from the Egg. If you look on maps.google.com, do a search for "the egg albany ny". Marker C is Empire Center at Egg. Zoom that entry and you will see a lot directly south from the Egg building. You can park in this lot and walk over. There are signs directing you to the Egg from the lot. Hope that helps.

Can't believe the Hip are going to play here. It's a great small venue with excellent acoustics. Just saw Ben Folds there last week... Great place to see a show.

I believe it's a state facility, so to park there, you need to show ID and are subject to the search... so I don't think it's that unreasonable. It's just proper security.

At the Ben Folds show, they had fairly big signs saying no cameras, recording equipment, etc. Maybe MAV could comment if the Hip's camera/taping policy will be allowed by the venue?
