Hip Week finally arrives in the Peg!!
#1

Been waiting for this for months and the week is finally here! Can't wait for each of these shows

Any idea's what these guys will be up to on Tuesday? I had hoped Wednesday/Monday would sell out and they maybe add a 5th show on Tuesday but looks like single tickets left for Wednesday and still more for todays show

Absolutely fantastic show last night! Gord was on fire out there

Doors to the venue probably opened around 630 but you couldn't get into the actual theatre until just before 8. Show went from 8:30 to 11pm with a 20 minute break in the middle.

Happy to hear it! Coming to town for the Thursday/Friday shows and can't wait!!

Any rarities or gems from the Monday night show? Also, what kind of swag were they selling at it? Any cool shirts or posters?

Someone threw an empty cup on stage and Gord started yelling for them to throw more at him. Then they found out that someone wrote on the cup "we love you" so he apologized and made a joke out of it. It was pretty funny.

There was a poster they were selling that I thought looked pretty cool. Shirts were pretty standard. I didn't like the look of the We Are The Same shirts but there were a few others there I thought looked pretty cool. I think I will buy that and a poster on Wednesday. They were also selling we are the same LP's so that would be a cool collectors item.

That sounds like it was a cool show. I can't wait! Are you (bobby p) going to all the Winnipeg shows? What were the encores for monday night? Any idea about the setlist? Was it a full house?

On the main board index there is a thread with 2009 Show Reviews - they include setlist info..

I am going to the show tonight and Friday

Yeah I'm going to all 4. Set list changes from night to night. Looked like a full house to me Smile Can't wait for tonight. There were a couple songs missing that I would love to hear such as fully completely, gift shop, and nautical disaster but I'm sure they will all make their way out over the 4 shows :music

No kidding! What a set list last night. While both nights were fantastic I did enjoy last nights setlist more than Monday. I was not expecting to hear Pigeon Camera last night thats forsure! Really enjoyed last nights acoustic set. Love fiddlers green. A couple other songs I would love to hear: scared, greasy jungle and springtime in vienna. Can't believe there's still two more nights to go! Smile

My buddy spotted the boys (minus Downie) at the Palomino Club after Monday nights show. He chatted with Robbie and got a picture. He said that no one else in the club recognized the band, so they were basically left alone to their bevvies the entire night. Seeing as the band had Tuesday night off, they were given a little freedom to enjoy the Peg. Perhaps they will be back at The Pal after Friday's show? Or at least next time when they stop in the Peg.

I can't believe that these shows keep getting better and better, unbelievable. Last night at the intermission I was thinking "hmm, they're not really playing any fan favorites". I like hearing stuff like Dire Wolf and more unknown songs but it didn't feel like the crowd was into it. This changed 300% in the second half, nothing but hits!! Scared and 50 mission cap blew my mind. And Thugs was sick! I even got to sing with Gord during music @ work (and got it on video)!! What a night!!

Can't wait for tonight. Last song on my list that I would love to hear is Greasy Jungle, but whatever they play tonight will be great :music
