I am in the US, so I do not know if there is much of a difference with Canadian Sirius.
I have had Sirius for the past 4 years or so - and I like it alot. I have not had a real chance to compare it to XM, but I know with the recent merger I have some XM channels now.
I would push you towards Sirius, but I am totally biased.

I listen to Sirius here in Canada. I have it on everyday all day long at work and would never consider going back to terrestrial. It is nice to have commercial free music, but the real reaosn I love it is the talk-radio. I was never into Howard Stern, but started listening when I got Sirius and haven't willingly missed a show since. It is absolutely the most entertaining show (of any kind) that I have encountered. Say what you want about him, but the stern show is smart, engaging, and absolutely entertaining radio.

Aside from that, there is plenty of sports-talk. And of course lots of great music stations.

The downfall with Sirus is that they don't have NHL, NBA, or MLB games. Only NFL.

i would never listen to nfl on the radio, but i might listen to MLB. as much as i hate baseball on TV, i love to listen to it on the radio.

I think I pay $12.95 for the first receiver and $6.95 per extra receiver - but I pay yearly so I get some kinda discount.
I received an email that the prices are going up though - and I think I read something about having to start to pay for the right to listen on your computer - which will be a bummer for me at work. I'll have to check into that.

Also what I like with listening to the NFL games is that the screen shows you the quarter and the score all the time - which is great.

i have had sirius for over a year now and love it. Nothing better for a long drive then commerical free music, and howard stern /NFL/Hardcore sports/on and on and on. you can also listen from the website at home, so if your always near your computer there is no need for you to buy the home kit.

Hmm, that gets me thinking - I wonder if there is a way to stream my sirius through my itunes/airtunes so I can hear it throughout my house.

IF not sirius announced in March that in the Spring they would be making it possible to stream through Itunes, Lets hope its coming soon.

I actually just got an email from Sirius yesterday and it looks like they are broadcasting the entire NHL playoffs;

With tthe Sirius/XM merger there is alot of crossover now.

Not to mention the commercial free music and Iceberg 85 (all Canadian music chanell). Grab it if you haven't yet.

Iceberg is okay, but I prefer CBC Radio 3 (Sirius 86) for my all Cancon station. XM's The Verge has them both beat though...
