I emailed the music director about the idea on the first day of the tournament, and he has been graciously dedicated to playing the songs every weeknight. I believe that every night there has been a plug for the tournament and directing people to vote for their favourite song at <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.hipbase.com">www.hipbase.com</a><!-- w -->.
Take a listen to the broadcast tonight. It makes Hipbasers feel proud!

This is just awesome! Usually you would have to line someone's pockets to get this to happen. Living in Buffalo all my life, you fall in love with the likes of Rush, Triumph, Saga, The Hip, etc. and these bands just NEVER get airplay...but I digress!!!

Anyone know what geographical region this radio station is in? Not that it matters with the live internet feed, but I'm curious.

Stay in school? I played hooky that day, drove to Power 97 and waited in my van for like 90 min for Gord to finish that interview so I could get an autograph. Best day ever. Staying in school doesn't get me GD's autograph! School? BAH I say!
