Hi all. I was fortunate enough to see Gord and the Country of Miracles play in Philadelphia at the TLA this summer. They did a beautiful and shimmering version of Insomniacs and was quite excited to buy the boot...however "due to technical difficulties" it is unavaiable. Long story, well, still long...I was wondering if a similar version was played on the tour anywhere. The concert version of the song was very heavy on the vocals...and perhaps the pump organ, but I can be sure...I don't know my instruments as well as I should. Any info would be great!

Sounds like the standard version these days, because that's exactly how it sounded here in Halifax. Vocals at the forefront, not buried in the mix...I love it, much better than the album version (which I thought I loved til I heard it live!)

I'm planning on buying the Halifax boot, so maybe I could rip that one song and send it to you, if you want.

Jenna, they played it in Whistler as the closer to the encore and it sounded great. Keep your eye on Gord's site for the Whistler boot.
