I'm really excited to see this movie. I think its going to show how far Canadian entertainment has really come over the past decade or two.

The storyline reminds me a lot of Neil Peart's book "Ghost Rider: Travels on the Healing Road" where he essentially did the same thing as the main character in the movie is doing after his wife and daughter died.

Good music and motorcycles - my 2 main staples in life ... lol

As a motorcycle enthusiast I have to agree that "riding" is very theraputic.

The guy in this movie is riding a vintage Norton , Neil Peart rides BMW "oilhead" and I ride an ol Harley

Saw a free screening of One Week tonight. Excellent flick so so much Canadian culture. The soundtrack included music by Sam Roberts, Stars and even Joel Plaskett playing "A Million Dollars" as a street musician.

Gord definitely takes the cake for his speech though. Won't spoil it for anyone, but those screens of him before were what most thought that it was :lol:
It was all about life and love, and the 'high' times of life.

Recommend seeing this movie for sure; and not just for Downie himself, but definitely beat the cameo in Men With Brooms...

great movie...especially the soundtrack and the gordo appearance is hilarious!
