I read today that the Cult will be playing in Lockport, New York on Friday July 10th. This is a free show.

I saw them 3 times back in the late 80's early 90's...always a great show.

I agree, except for when they got the opening slot on Metallica's Justice For All Tour. However when the entire saddldome is booing you, a lcklustre performance is forgiven. I remeber seeing them on the Sonic Temple Tour with Lenny backing them up, Ian had a bit too much to drink that night, he sang great, but tripped over his floor carpet numerous times :lol:

I was at that tour in Winnipeg. For Lenny's set the power failed and he did some banter back and forth with the audience and then sang a few songs with no mic...it was fantastic. The Cult were great as well. Saw them with Metallica as well and it was hard to see them get boo'd...bad band match up. Also saw them with Bonham in Saskatoon...good show.

What album were the cult touring when they backed up Jason.....must have missed that one. It was tough watching the Cult get boo'd when backing up Metallica, I'll bet Ian and Billy had words with their tour director after that!
Still love that Live at the Lycemium (sp?) disc when they were stuill called The Southern Death Cult.

It was Sonic Temple and Bonham backed them up. It was in late 89 I believe.
