I am one who tries really hard not to take anything for granted. I try to think about the little things in life that I am fortunate to have. As I was on my daily run/walk this morning, it really struck me how life is so fragile. My husband's uncle is dying of cancer in the hospital, not even able to eat food or take a simple drink of water. He wants more than anything to be able to eat something/anything again. The cancer has spread to many parts of his body, he is weak, his body is failing him.
There are so many times I look at myself and get so frustrated that I can't lose the last 10 pounds. I won't always allow myself to have that dessert or whatever because it will hinder my shape. At least I can eat it though, and enjoy it. I am happy to be able to eat and drink...simple pleasures in life. I am happy that I can walk/exercise, etc. Wow, I am just happy to have life. People die everyday, but until I do, I want to take each day in for what it is.
