White produced Doiron's 2007 solo album Woke Myself Up, which features three tracks on which the entire Eric's Trip lineup worked together.

...It was on their Day For Night Tour in 1995. I saw them in St. John, NB.
Where are they now?
Back together believe it or not! Their last album was in 1996. Stephen Drake left and went on to work on Trouble at The Henhouse with the Hip. I'm not sure what he's doing now. In 2004, Bobby Baker teamed up with the 3 remaining members to create Stripper's Union and then in 2008 The Odds released an album as "The New Odds" with a new member. It's awesome too. Buy it!

They officially broke up sometime in early '98 I think. Lead singer/guitarist/songwriter Ian Blurton went on to form the short-lived band Blurtonia and was also a member of Bionic for a while. His current band is called C'Mon. He's also quite talented in the recording studio as well, producing albums by the Lowest of the Low, The Weakerthans, Tricky Woo, Amy Millan, The Illuminati, and Raising The Fawn, among others.

Deep Banana Blackout (or DBB) is a New Orleans style Jazz-funk band from Fairfield County, Connecticut. Formed in the summer of 1995 when members of two bands ("Tongue & Groove" from Connecticut and "Pack of Matches" from Long Island, NY) joined forces in their spare time to run through old Funk & Soul standards. As the band members' chemistry became apparent, all other projects fell by the wayside so that they could focus on writing and arranging material for what had become Deep Banana Blackout. The band soon became a highly acclaimed musical force on the East Coast underground Jazz and jam band scene. This eight piece musical outfit, with full horn section, was notorious for performing musical compositions ranging from Tower of Power, Sly and the Family Stone esq. to the likes of Funkadelic.
In July of 1997, DBB released their first studio effort entitled Live in the Thousand Islands. The album was recorded in Hartford, CT in the old Colt.45 building and was produced by the band members themselves. In February of 1999, Deep Banana Blackout released their second recording, a double live CD called Rowdy Duty. The album was recorded in one night at a residence on Willow St. in Port Chester, New York. Later on that year, the band's label Artkin Touchya Records released B'Gock!, a side project for DBB's guitarist Fuzz and his band "On the Corner w/ Fuzz." Also in 1999 drummer Eric Kalb and percussioninst Johnny Durkin went to work on jazz legend John Scofield's latest verve release Bump. The album was featured on Billboard jazz charts.
Deep Banana Blackout has sold out such venues as the Webster Theater in Hartford, Connecticut (1200 capacity) and Irving Plaza in New York City (1100 capacity). They were featured at the Newport Jazz Festival in the summer of 2000, as well as being the focal point of a feature article in JazzTimes. In 2001, DBB played a co-bill with Maceo Parker in the new Denver Fillmore to 2750 fans, was featured at events such as Jazz Aspen/Snowmass, and the Gathering of the Vibes, toured with the Allman Brothers Band, and performed in Japan as well. In 2000, lead vocalist Jen Durkin left the band and was replaced by vocalist/sax player Hope Clayburn. Durkin briefly toured with Bernie Worrell (of Parliament) and The Woo Warriors and became a member of the newly-formed band The Bomb Squad (not to be confused w/ the rap producers). The Bomb Squad opened for DBB occasionally, and Durkin performed with them when their paths crossed.
Because the band was reluctant to sign with a large record label, fearing that artistic expression would be undermined by terms and conditions stated within a contract, they disbanded in 2003 for financial reasons. All four DBB albums were locally produced and distributed, with Live in the Thousand Islands selling well over 5,000 copies. In March 2005 and 2006, DBB played reunion-style shows to celebrate St. Patrick's Day weekend. Most recently, the band played at Toad's Place in New Haven, Connecticut, where a home-town presence was felt- seeing as the majority of the band members are from Fairfield, Bridgeport, and New Haven, Connecticut. The Bowery Ballroom in New York City along with various venues in Boston have hosted DBB recently as the main musical attraction.

The band that opened for Das Hip at my very first show...12/12/1998 Modjeska Theatre, Milwaukee, WI. Although they were supposed to be this cult thing happening, as I recall, they weren't anything special.

Pet Engine was an alternative/power-pop band that formed in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in the early 1990s. Although they never achieved widespread commercial success, the band did release three albums and one EP on its label, Don't Records. The singles "Reinventing the Wheel" and "Popular Teenage Disease" achieved a moderate amount of radio play in several American radio markets. The band achieved a cult following in the Milwaukee music scene, often playing with popular Milwaukee bands like Citizen King and The Gufs, and were a regular act at Milwaukee's Summerfest for several years. Although Pet Engine broke up in early 2003, they were briefly reunited when they played at Summerfest 2006.
