Just wanted to let everyone know that The Village Pump in Rossmore will be hosting a Pre-Hip party Saturday June 21st prior to the Big Music Fest. Parking is free, and the location is perfect for avoiding the headaches that are sure to come on the other side of the bridge prior to the show. Our pub is approximately 1km away from the event location at Zwick's Park. We are located on the other side of the bay bridge as you enter Prince Edward County. Our sign currently reads Gord Downie gets free beer (for life) for playing highway girl. I'm thinking it is a safe bet that I won't owe him any beer. Come early as we expect a fairly large crowd. This sounds like so much fun!! I am going to mapquest the whole area. I am still trying to figure out where I am coming from. I am flying into Toronto this time and driving East. I flew into Ottawa and drove to Kingston last show. Yeah I am so psyched to get out of this heat and enjoy the HIP!! :jump

Free parking for the event as well? like can I park my van there and avoid any payed parking that I've been hearing rumour about?

There is no parking fee, but, the issue will be getting there at a decent time as the radio is promoting the site as well for parking.

So let me get this straight, if I come at say 1030, parked my vehicle and left it there for 12 or so hours, I'd get no ticket/towing...?
