I'm liking it alot...great wall of sound feel to the guitars. I'm not one of those "it sounds like the blue album" fans...but this is a good sign.

Sounds like the same kind of music they were making nearly 15 years ago.

I like the song a lot, it's a big improvement from the last album's worth of material, I thought for a while Rivers and the boys ran out of ideas. Hopefully the whole album measures up as well.

Seeing that Rivers has 800 demos to choose from...I don;t think a lack of ideas is the problem. Well, maybe good ideas.

I was listening to the radio a couple days ago and a rock station in London, Ontario had an interview with Cuomo.
He was talking about how Pork and Beans came to be as a song and it was a pretty interesting story. He had a meeting the the record label execs to talk about the songs that the band had laid out for the new album. They told him that he needed to start writting "catchy-er" songs.
He said that he was so angry about the entire meeting that he sat down and wrote a song about it. Ironically, the catchy tune, Pork and Beans, is what came out of it.
I can't wait for the new album. Beverly Hills was a huge disappointment to me and from the sounds of the new single, they're going to redeem themselves this time around.

Pork and Beans sounds too much like El Scorcho.
No matter what Weezer does, I don't think they can ever out do Pinkerton.

I thought this may be a thread related to the "pork and beans" area of Miami, as featured on "The First 48."
