Feed a Cold? Starve a Cold? Mehhh. Help!
#1

Hi all!

Since coming down with a nasty cold (or bronchitis) is practically a job requirement for teachers, I sit here wondering what I could possibly do to take the edge off of my suffering.

I've tried cepacol, robitussin, dayquil, fisherman's friend (I had forgotten how disgusting they are), soup, hot showers, neti pots, hot tea, hot water, hot lemonade... the list goes on.

Are there any homespun cures out there that will, if not get me back on me feet, leave me feeling capable of doing something other than laying draped over my desk? Any recommendations would be most appreciated.

A spoonful of McGuinness Cherry Whisky is my remedy of choice. Kills s cough, soothes a sore throat, you name it!

If only I could take that at school and not be, well, fired. Smile

I may snag some on the way home though! Thanks Chris!

Theres always old faithful Buckleys... it tastes terrible but it will work.

It's a Canadian thing that can be found in most Rite Aid's in the US. Your gonna pay about $6 for a little bottle but it should fix you up :thumb: .

I find aleve cold\sinus works pretty well too, just wont help control a cough.
