I dont think my group and i are leaving till 1 or so... We figure that the hip wont come on until dark so around 8:00 or 9:00 but heres to hoping they release a damn band schedule so that everyone can plan their day!

I read somewhere gates open at 12noon then the first band starts at 2pm --- ya they are taking their time finalizing bands and everything else

Ya because for me personally I don't want to sit through OLP or finger 11 or some of the otehr bans that im sure I will tune out. I just wanna see the hip/sloan/stereophonics

Like most everyone else, I am going to see the Hip only.
I am going to leave around 3:30 from Mississauga - be in there for 5:30ish, have some cocktails and enjoy the night.
Do any of us want to try to meet for a beer? Cell phones?

I am going to Edgefest with my wife and friends. I hope to meet a few Hipbasers there and enjoy a couple of coldies with new friends. It could be considered a mixer to introduce ourselves to each other prior to our proposed Hipbase show. I know the committee is hard at work on a proposal. Keep up the good work guys, and get the job done!
Hopefully, I will meet some of you at the show.

Driving up Saturday morning and meeting my friend in Barrie around 11am (he goes to college up there so I'll probably be staying overnigt at his place). We're planning on seeing all the bands which means we'll get our moneys worth.

I have a question - I can't recall but when you arrive with your car at Molson Park, do they search your car for party treats? For exampole, can yo have a cooler with ice and beer in the trunk? Can you have a unopened bottle of liquor in the trunk?
Just what CAN you do in the parking lot?

..I know Friday night im going up to party in that parking lot i dont think they do search your vehichle i can remember drinking in that parking lot the day of concerts... maybe someone else can be more specific but i think you will be alright

I am going with a decent group of people, and our plan is to arrive at 2:00 and drink in the lot untill around 7:30, done it before, bring some chairs! Have a great time everyone!

this is horse shit, roadside in 97, we were drinking in the parking lot at 9, it was like a giant nfl game, q had a-z hip all day, and everyone had bbq's it was awesome, why would this be different?
