Was listening to this today, and I just want to say.
Wow.
Ten Years after its release, and its still fresh. I remember somebody posting once, saying they didn't own Live Between Us, because they collect bootlegs and have all the albums. What a terrible decision.

If anybody ever asks for a starting point to get into the Hip, everytime, I'll recommend Live Between Us.

What a magical night in Detroit.

I was just thinking that this should be a friendly reminder to everyone to pop this in and give it a listen, cranked up damn loud. I can't say enough good things about this release. It simply kicks ass.

The actual Encore went like this: (and I wish TheHip.com would go back to giving us "copies" of the actual setlist)

Thugs
Everytime You Go
Fire in the Hole
Locked in the Trunk of a Car
Little Bones

The ultimate road trip record. From the moment Johnny actually kicks those drums in, they attain a groove unlike any other.

I posted a tribute of my own (If you can call it that) over at-

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://thecountrycamefirst.blogspot.com">http://thecountrycamefirst.blogspot.com</a><!-- m -->

I should add, against my better judgement, that I lost my virginity with this album on in the background.

But she stole my copy after we broke up, so, as long as the tunes are spread t'her and her crew, I guess no one's hurt...

Great album, but its horribly incomplete, that full setlist with encore is outstanding, we got cheated.

I remember being at a party we were all drinking in our buddy's backyard we had LBU playing and one of the boys was really out of it, he wanted something new on the radio, he said he was tired of the Hip and threw the LBU cd over the fence like a frisbee, then proceded to go surfing on a cooler and fell on his ass....incidentally he got his head decapitated in a car wreck a few years later..no joke. The lesson..

Dont mess with the Hip kids!!!

Its a great road trip cd for sure, its accompanied me on a few journeys.

Sounds like the outcome of one of the stars/victims of one of those Final Destination movies. Confusedhock:

Anyway I always like to pop this CD in as I'm on my way to a Hip show... the whole live feel just gets me in the right mood!

Same here.
I bought LBU on a whim for $2.50 at a since-departed "Music For A Song" outlet store over five years ago- and the rest is history.
