Never thought......for the life of me that I would make such a statement...
BUT
I hope Russia comes back and takes the next 3 Games.
Reason being, I am having a party for game 8, and that would make that game just that much better.
Totally dominating them is wonderful, but when its a clean sweep its too easy and makes for a boring game.
Now if it were the Americans....I would love to watch them crumble for all 8 games.

This series has sucked for Ranger fans like myself. We've lost 2 of our top prospects in Artem Anisimov (knee) & Alexei Cherapanov (concussion). I haven't really heard many updates on the two yet, hopefully neither injury is too serious. Anisimov has a really good shot at making the Rangers this season.

i thought they had a horrible job of hyping this series up...i remember tretiak trying to get something going and then nothing after, and then all the sudden it was starting...and now it has just been a joke...

im not saying they havent been impressive, because they have...obviously i want canada to win, it would must be more exciting if the teams were even strengths...it leaves you to wonder how did all these people in hockey who organized (especially the russians) not know this was gonna happen

From what I saw the Canadian juniors were superior in every possible way... skill, defense, goaltending, systems, coaching, heart... frankly the disparity between us and the Russians was absolutely shocking. Whether it's just a downcycle in Russian talent or something worse, I don't know. I loved to see the skill and heart of the Canadian juniors, it certainly looks that there are many great up and coming Canadian players who will be coming to the NHL in a couple of years. It's too bad this series wasn't more competitive. I wonder if they'd consider doing a similar series in a year or two with American juniors... now THAT might be fun to watch.
