I don't plug my band too much....maybe once every 5 months. Anyway, our new album is out (last week)....and it's in cd plus, and HMV stores across Canada. We're called The Deep Dark Woods, and the album is called "Hang Me, oh Hang Me". Check out some songs off it at sonicbids.com/thedeepdarkwoods, or myspace.com/deepdarkwoods. We're huge fans of the Hip....maybe that's why I plug us here. Shows coming up in September in Lethbridge, Edmonton, Calgary, and Vancouver....then out east on November.
cheers

Congrats on the new release. Sounds sharp.
When are you coming to Saint John

?
(Just to clarify to other basers, they have a new album released yesterday... I'm not talking about the one mentioned in the prior post).

We really should go to the east coast. Never been there. We've only been as far east as Montreal...and that's a 40 hour + drive for us. In June we'll be doing an eastern tour with dates in Toronto (Horseshoe!!), Montreal, Wakefield, Sudbury, and so on...
Anywho, glad you like what you hear!

Just picked up this month's copy of Exclaim! You guys got a great write-up in the Wood, Wires and Whiskey section. Right on. Best of luck on the tour...

On that note, congratulations on being selected for CBC Radio 2's Song Quest competition. I heard your tune the other night, sounds good, that organ has got a good groove and the vocal harmonies are interesting to say the least! Apparently Rich Terfry is making a push for you guys to play that song as the last song on the last night that Goodtime Charlie's will be open. Wasn't sure if you were aware.

I was lucky enough to be at the CBC for the Great Canadian Song Quest Concert the other night. You guys were amazing. Good Time Charlie's is an absolutely unreal song. All the acts were great. And they served dessert and champagne after the show!
Anyone who hasn't grabbed the Song Quest album on itunes yet, you oughta.
