I don't think this is true. Matthew Good's 'Hospital Music' was the number one record in the country for two weeks and did well for many weeks/months afterwards. Far better than 'White Light Rock & Roll Review' which is the last record they have a certification for (erroneously credited to the Matthew Good BAND, albeit).
