I'm going to a concert soon at Darien Lake (I'm not going to say which one for fear of flaming!)...
I know from a past experience at Darien Lake that it can be a nightmare to get out of the parking lot after a concert. Does anyone who has been to any shows there have any suggestions as to where the best area to park in is? (ie. easiest/fastest to get out of after a show).

Hmmm... I have no suggestions on parking as I've always managed to park in the worst spot for getting out in a timely fashion... but I am interested in learning what show you're seeing:

either wait in the car til it clears out or duck out of the concert alittle early other than that other than parking way in the back to exit the back way out

There is a big exit sign near the back right.
If you park there you jump out the back pretty quick.

Does parking at the back (near the EXIT sign) usually fill up early? We weren't planning on getting there until around the time the show starts...

Yes it fills up early - pretty much first.
There is a paved parking lot then a road then the huge grass parking lot. Since you are getting there late you will probably be closer to the paved parking lot - if not in it - that road right there will let you out easily.

if you don't go there every year your gonna get stuck no matter what. The grass lot is in the back by the amphitheater. Concert traffic is divirted to the back lawn parking and now the have parking nazis telling you where to park. If when you get there (depending on time) and see a spot in the paved area when you first get in and can slide to it and don't mind walking a few "miles" to the concert area do it, but the rush to get out the front gate is a madhouse. Sit drink abeer after the show and wait for the rush and you'll be fine. Or leave early like some do ???
