we've got a family cottage in the kawartha's and ive been thinking of putting up a small windmill since the breeze down the lake is almost constant. i was wondering if anyone has done this to their home and/or cottage? do you notice the benefits? does it create alot of noise?

does anyone know of any companies in the peterborough area that would come to our place and check it out and give us a installation quote?

I went to the Green Living Show here in Toronto last month and there were a number of vendors showing their home wind turbine kits. I'll see if I have the brochures when I get home tonight.

The reps at the show said that there is no noise generated by the devices.
