i'm really diggin this album, but that's not why i started the thread...


there's something fucked up with it...and i don't mean the spooky noises or lyrics or artwork either lol...well, actually it is the artwork...


who owns this album? does this sound familiar at all?


i put it in my computer yesterday...the art on the disc it self was all black, with a second shade of black on it....


when i took it out today...THE FUCKING DISC IS WHITE NOW!!!!!!!!!! WTF!!!!!!!

I think the important question here is: "What colour was the acid?"

I'll try this experiment out. I've got the disc and it is currently a dark grayish colour with black lettering and the words "year zero" in white. I'll leave it my computer for a couple days while down at Sasquatch Festival. If I come back and see that it has turned white, I'll pour myself a stiff drink.

Hey DC!!! Great news!!!! You're NOT on acid!!!

Yep as the video demonstrates, the disc does turn white when left in the player (heat activated?). I'm wondering if goes dark as it cools off...

[takes disc to the freezer and watches it change back to black before his eyes!]

yes the disc goes back to dark after cooling off,

It's just like the case for the Nirvana box set that came out, if you rub it turns white and you can see track sheets and other stuff, then it cools down and goes back to blac,

First time I've seen it on a cd though,

holy shit thats fucking weird. i've never seen that before. i wanna go out and grab a copy just for the disc now.

so whats everyones favourite NIN album anyways? for me i'd say the fragile but i don't own every album.

yeah, the paper is called Thermochrome and costs like an additional cent per album made... good stuff.

My favourite album is YZ, but The Fragile has the best songs

Pretty Hate Machine > Broken > With Teeth > The Fragile > The Downward Spiral > Year Zero...

although, that could definately change seeing as Year Zero is still fairly new to me...i like Zero Sum as much as anything they've ever done before though possibly...except for BURN or The Perfect Drug...best NIN songs ever IMO...

Nice to see a NIN thread in here. Something tells me I'll become the most frequent poster in here.
