Match-up #27 - Flamenco Vs. The Drop Off
I ask you to listen to the two songs in the match-up Back to Back, and consider the lyrics of the song. Feel free to post an unbiased analysis of both songs in this thread, but please refrain from cheerleading or making predictions for your favourites.
Match up #26 will be open for approximately 30 minutes. Vote now if you haven't done so.

While I enjoy The Drop Off, Flamenco just sends chills up my spine whenever I hear it, although the studio version isnt as good as the live version.

This is tough Drop Off is in my top three off the new album, but the last time I heard Flamenco live I found a renewed love for it. This one will take some deliberation.... can't decide right now.

Man, after listening to them back to back, I find it absolutely amazing that they were written by the same band. I suppose it just goes to show the versatility of the band.
That said, I like the energy in Drop Off better, so it gets my vote.

I really can't decide which one to pick on musical merit, so to be honest I'm gonna go with Flamenco purely because it sounds so great on the Phantom coustics set I recently leeched.

I love the Drop Off. I have never been able to get into Flamenco. Its interesting to see that they're tied right now though.

When I saw this matchup I knew it would be a tough decision for me. So I wasn't surprised when I saw that after my vote, the two songs were tied with 30 votes each.
Anyway, amazing matchup because it really makes you think about what song you personally appreciate more. The songs are on two different ends of the Hip's spectrum. One is an ass-kicking rocker and one is a slow and sweet song.
