That's great news! Hopefully this has a domino effect with the other labels.

It's only a matter of time before DRM becomes a thing of the past. The only people it hurts are the people who are buying the DRM'd music, restricting how and where they can play the files.
I like Steve Job's view on this, and especially the part that 90% or so of music sold is DRM free...in the form of the physical CD.
Just goes to show you how out-of-date the recording industry is. Hopefully EMI will set an example.

There is a very interesting documentary called "The iPod Revolution" about Steve Jobs' and the rise of the iPod.
It is posted on this website, which in itself is an impressive site:

Woohoo! EMI is Kevin Federline's label! At long last I'll be able to download is album at DOUBLE the sound quality. God bless you Steve Jobs and EMI.
Seriously though, this is great. I'm no audiophile, but when I wear a half decent pair of headphones I can notice some weirdness with some files at 128, so I typically encode at 224. iTunes will definitely be getting more of my money now that I can get the files from them at 256, rather than buy the CD and do my own ripping.
