I'm not sure if many of you have heard of them, but Silversun Pickups is an up and coming band out of LA.

Anyway, their song Lazy Eye really grabbed me the first time I heard it and I've loved it ever since.

This song actually really reminds me of the Hip. Not the vocals, but the parts where there is no singing.

Just now, I listened to Lazy Eye and the Escape is at Hand right after, and it is insane how alike they sound!

Anyway, give a listen and let me know what you think.

I actually just bought the album, called Carnavas, off iTunes. It's pretty good. The other songs don't sound Hip-inspired though. 8)

saw them last october here in TO. pretty good band live. they were opening for viva voce. another band worth checking out.

This band has high expectations... I have heard numerous times that they have been compared to the early Smashing Pumpkins.

I heard the tune on the Edge whenever they started playing it... almost a month ago now I guess. Great tune and I thought it was a girl singing at first... til I saw the video.

I can't wait to hear more from this band!
