So who's all going and has anyone received their tickets in the mail yet??
I saw that if you eat dinner at the HOB you get into the venue earlier......wonder if its worth while..........

Esthete and I have had our tickets for awhile.
We had thought about doing the dinner route for the New Year's Eve show at the HOB in Chicago, but it didn't look like it would be worth it.
There are a couple decent looking places to eat close to the venue. When we headed out to the Tom Waits show there in August, we wound up at this lovely little pub with full bar and indoor/outdoor dining options. Sadly, I don't remember the name or the location...

I'll be there with my wife. Whenever I'm down in that area I usually like to eat at this little Irish pub that is on a corner just about a block from the HOB (maybe it is the same place Jenna is talking about, although the name is also escaping me right now). The food is good, but the last time I went there the service was F*ing terrible. Not exagerating this at all: we waited nearly an hour just to get our check after we ate (we never saw our waitress after we got our food). We'll probably end up at the Winking Lizard which is just a few blocks down the road from the HOB.

I'll be there with my wife WheatQueen (Carolyn), John Cage (Chris W) and my two friends. We are meeting Smadabeer (Jay), his wife Caroline and their friends Hashman69 (Kevin) and his wife Sherri, who we have also met at other Hip shows. I think it will be a good show and it will be fun to hang out with a large bunch of Hip fans.

food is great at HOB. we did the dinner thing before the show in July.
Would most certainly do that again.
