Aerosmith has been confirmed to be playing in Charlottetown July 21st. It's going to be an "all day rock festival", and it's supposed to include local, national and international bands. Any chance The Hip will be part of this? I've already heard their name brought up once. Nathan Wiley, 2 Hours Traffic, and In Flight Safety have already been confirmed, and they are working on getting Randy Bachman & Burtin Cummings too! The Hip would be the icing on the cake!

What a decieving post topic....considering they are my two favorite bands I'd kill for that show. My dream has always been to see them each play an hour and a half at a show in Toronto where the Hip are big enough to get as much love as Aerosmith. Oh well...wishful thinking.

Aerosmith could open for the Hip. The only band left Legendary enough to have The Tragically Hip open now are The Police.

I don't agree with that...
Case in point: The Who.
Pearl Jam -- If the concert was outside Canada...
U2 as well.

Call me crazy but I wouldn't pay 10 dollars to see Aerosmith play. Now 10 years ago I would have dropped 100 to see them but that was pre "Just Push Play" and "Pink" The hip do not need to be opening for a band that sold out to what the Pop Loving Music Machine wanted. Give me a good old Gord Downie NOIS-Dream On-Nois ranting energy filled track and I'd be there in a heart beat.
