it is a good idea as long as you have the cash at the end of the month to pay the CC bill.

I use my credit card for all major purchases and pay it off every month. No charges. My parents do the same. It can work as long as you disipline yourself to not see all the $$ in the bank and spend it before paying off your creditcard.

also, if you spend a lot on your CC and pay it off every month, you are building a great credit rating. screw the fees.

Also, look for credit cards that earn you air miles, or some kind of cash back rewards. We charge everything for our business, and then pay it off every month. We have accumulated enough air miles, from our purchases, to get 2 free round trip air tickets from Buffalo to California. Just a thought.

I work for a bank. Do you know if you are on the right type of account package?
Maybe you need to "upgrade" your plan. If you are allowed say 10 Transactions for 3.95 if you go over 10 they charge you 50 cents each time. If you go for a unlimited plan say for 12 bucks. You can use it a 1000 times if you want for 12 bucks. Also try NOT to use other banks machines these are a total ripoff. I always get Cashback. A nice way to get 2 transactions for the price of 1! Anyway I hope that rambling helps
I never use "russian" bank machines, one not associated with banks at all. There was a Russian company that owned a bunch of cash machines and logged everyones pin numbers and sold them. I was thinking of the plan thing, I think I still have a student plan?

also, rather than making 4 trips to the ATM for $20 each time, go to your own bank's ATM and get $80. keep $20 in your wallet and the rest at home.
