I'm guessing that one is Neil Young's "When You Dance I Can Really Love", which Gord was playing quite a bit on his solo tour that same year.

I think instead of Look, it's actually Cook, which could be Cooking During Wartime, a song that was cut from the album by Adam Kaspar (he was the producer that time around, right?) The instrumental version of it was used during The Right Whale vintages.

I remember discussion around the time IBE came out saying that there's a good chance Dance was "Heart of the Melt" based on that second line, "I could dance with a puck." Kinda like how when the Canucks warm up guy was playing the tunes in warm up before the album came out, Heaven is a Better Place Today was labeled as Glue Guy. Then again, but that token, maybe its You because of how often the line is repeated toward the end of the song.

There are reviews somewhere. Be it deep in the Hipbase archives or lost in the inboxes of digital pack-rat Henhousers (in checking mine, it only goes back to Dec 03). But I remember people talking about this show, and nothing was mentioned of a Neil Young cover.

By the way, thanks for finding this Sean. I spent a night earlier in the spring trying to do just that to no avail.

"The Tragically Hip Surprise Whistler"

On Monday, October 27 and Tuesday October 28, the boys played a couple secret concerts at The Boot Pub in Whistler, BC. In one of the smallest venues they've played in a decade, they hit the stage as "The Fighter Fighters", and treated some very lucky local residents to an amazing set, filled mainly with new material, sprinkled with some of their favourites.

All proceeds from the shows were donated to aid in the relief fund for the victims of the Rutherford Creek washout, which happened in the area just before the shows took place.

The show took place in 2003 - I doubt that Gord had the song that long ago and didn't Use It Up as he's fond of saying.
