Almost forgot how dark, twisted, and funny this album is. I love it. Word on the street is that Mr. Waits is currently working on a new studio album. It's been 4 years since "Orphans" was released. I'd say he's long overdue, and I can't wait to hear the results. The man is a fuckin' genius.

Excellent. Hope it's true.
Just went through another stint where Blood Money, Mule Variations, Bone Machine, and Real Gone dominated my car stereo. It cannot be overstated - that stuff is premium art. Premium.
Amongst all he's done, I've always held Mule Variations in the highest esteem. But over time, Real Gone may have drawn even. Blood Money and Bone Machine, for me, are a short step behind.
His stuff has always moved me on a level that exceeds most other art; but given certain circumstances, its most recent effects proved almost unbearable.
One of the greatest Aussie rock bands of all time. This was the album that first got me hooked. As I was researching the band's current whereabouts, I was happy to discover that they're still alive and kicking. In fact they just released a new album last year. Who knew?
