Another fantastic show by Gordie and the gang last night in Hamilton!

I'm uploading 5 or 6 vids to youtube, but, in the meantime, here are a few pics.

Nice pics GG! You must have been a couple of people over from me. I'm looking forward to the rest of your videos.

I was impressed by the Festival (yes, I was impressed by the Hammer - "can we call it that if we're not from here"?) - it was much bigger than I expected. Thank you TD for letting people experience Gord Downie for free! :thumb: Probably another show where half the people were disappointed not to hear any Hip songs, but at least they're being exposed to this different side of Gord and hopefully they'll go home and appreciate what they saw.

Anyway, yes, another great show. Julie's a real trooper, although the vibe on the stage is a bit different because of her immobility (it's nice when she and Josh Finlayson switch spots, and Glenora definitely isn't the same without her bouncing around!).

And I'm realizing each time how much I love The East Wind live. Same with Vancouver Divorce.

Good stuff.

Thompson Girl described the show perfectly. I was also surprised and impressed with the Festival of Friends. There was a midway with carnival rides and games, along with the customary beer tent and numerous vendor displays. There was a huge crowd at the fair and for the show. The fans enjoyed the music and participated. Everyone was friendly and there was no pushing, even in the front where we were standing. As Thompson Girl mentioned, a few fans were screaming for Hip songs. Gord may have summed up the night with this statement as he spoke to the crowd..."Good people on a good night. What more could you want besides ferris wheels and chicken wings"?

Had a great night out with family and friends.Brought my 3 year old daughter to her first show.I taped the show as well and have this show,3 nights in Hamilton 09 and the Goodlife show to get off my camera and convert.Waited with a dozen or so fans for about an hr. only to watch Gord drive past us all Sad Was surprised and disappointed but understanding as well. All in all a great show, glad to have GD back in THE HAMMER!

note - encore was changed from Retrace and 11th Fret
