Yes it is:
"Strippers at Ottawa Bluesfest
Just when you thought it was safe to go se RUSH at Ottawa Bluesfest you now discover that Strippers Union will be on the stage right beside them and ...right before them."

And they have been in Vancouver writing new material. According to that Myspace thingy. That's still around?

Looks like their set overlaps a bit with John Hiatt. That's unfortunate. (At least they don't overlap with Levon.)

I saw Strippers Union last night here in Ottawa at Bluesfest. Had to fit in a trip to see the family sometime this summer, so I decided to do something for myself as incentive! haha!

Anyway, I'm glad I made the trip. First - I got to hear and see Rob sing, which was really odd at first, then seemed normal. Second - Paul Langlois came out as a special guest and played/sang 6 or 7 songs with the guys.

They played for about 55mins and that was about 10 songs or so. They had to get off for that other band called Rush.

Headed over afterwards to get a CD signed. I was asking Craig Northey about the new album they're recording. He said its almost done, so we could see some dates popping up eventually. A couple of the new songs had a great sound. And I told Rob that it was cool that he got Paul to come out. He said that he didn't think he'd want to, and was surprised when he said yes. Then they all probably headed over to watch Rush. Maybe they even got on stage - I don't know, we left after 3 songs. I've never liked Rush.

Here is a video I took of “Give up and go away” from the Ottawa Bluesfest. I’m not sure if this is where I post it or not, no prob if you need to move it.

Yeah I’m not a big RUSH fan either, I like maybe four songs. I do love Spirit of Radio and they opened with that which was good to see. After they played three songs that weren’t Spirit of Radio we left and headed for another stage although we could still hear Geddy caterwauling in the distance.

Also saw Gord at the fest, he put on another great show.
