Paul Langlois Solo - Tribute Show
#1

GLENN WILLIAMS TRIBUTE: HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE CAME TOGETHER ON THE WEEKEND TO REMEMBER THE LIFE AND LEGACY OF GLENN WILLIAMS THROUGH SPEECHES AND SONG.

June 21, 2010
THE WELL-KNOWN KINGSTON RADIO ANNOUNCER AND COMMUNITY CHAMPION -- KNOWN AS "G" TO MANY OF HIS FRIENDS -- RECENTLY LOST HIS BATTLE WITH A-L-S.
HE WAS JUST 42.
WILLIAMS' WIFE AND CHILDREN JOINED WITH OTHERS FOR A SPECIAL MEMORIAL AT THE K-R-C ON SATURDAY -- INCLUDING ACTOR DAN AYKROYD AND THE TRAGICALLY HIP'S PAUL LANGLOIS.
THEY PRAISED G'S EXTENSIVE COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT WITH AGENCIES LIKE THE UNITED WAY.... AND RAISED MONEY FOR LOU GEHRIG'S DISEASE.

It says new song - but that is just the unfortunate title.

Paul is awesome... and I don't think I'm alone in saying I've always loved his voice.

Paul is the definition of cool. That's a nice song. I think I hear a bit of Johnny Cash in there. I'll be he's written a lot of his own songs over the years. Perhaps enough to put together a solo record? Maybe the next step in the Hip's evolution as songwriters is to have a couple of songs on the next album where Paul sings lead.

wow that was great, genuine, sincere, loved it, excellent lyrics & singing and the kids jumping/dancing up front near the end was really sweet too.
