i remembr listening to an interview from thetracker, in one segment each hip member named thier top 2 albums that theyd take to an island, i think i remeber paul went first and got to chose exile. itwas pre 00's forsure, and a great interview,
Does anyone remembr this one??

Damn i thought it was great guess, sounded familar, i even scanned it twice cuz i thought it mighta tripped, but no dice. closely, the interviewee did ask what your currently listening too.

I liberated this on tape from my Dad, then after he died thought as a morbid treat I would get it on CD..

I remember hearing that interview as well on the radio. I am certain Gord Sinclair said that Rush's new one "Test for Echo" was getting a lot of play on the tour bus. Test For Echo came out in 1996, so it was around this time.

I have to AGREE Exile is the best Stones CD. I listen to it just about once every 2 weeks, and I never skip any songs.

I'm a huge stones fan (but who isn't).
I always find it hard to pick a favourite album by my favourite artists.
For me, Exile and Let It Bleed are tied for 1st, with a close second by Sticky Fingers.

Any 'Dirty Work' fans? :lol:

Just went to see a Classic Albums Live of "Let It Bleed". What a fantastic album that is, right from beginning to end. I could go see The Stones where they played Gimme Shelter 20 times through and would still get goose bumps every time I heard the opening riff. Exile is still my favourite overall album, but Gimme Shelter is hands down the best Stones song ever recorded.

And don't knock Dirty Work, there were a couple good tracks on there! One Hit To The Body, how can you go wrong mixing Jimmy Page with The Stones! :thumb: :thumb: Sleep Tonight was a good one as well. It was no classic album, but a few good tunes. Better than a lot of other crap coming out in the mid 80's!!

This was 1989-11-02 Toronto, an command performance at Eastern Sound Studios with john derringer on q107 i think...
The live preformances are in the mislabled 1989-XX-XX Brantford Ontario show at thehundredthmeridian.com, but not the interviews.
