SERIOUSLY, NOT ONE SUMMER OF 2010 HIP SHOW????
#1

Well,

As much as its great the Gord is doing the solo thing, do we not seriously deserve to have ONE HIP SHOW SOMEWHERE TO MAKE "THE SUMMER 2010" FULLY COMPLETELY???

I mean come on, even one show would draw tens of thousands out!

Boys, let's get a ONE OFF, Edenfest type show so we can at least get outside, enjoy a frosty gold adult beverage on a nice summer evening and listen Canada's best band!

BETTER YET, IF WE RALLEY THE TROOPS, maybe we could get a classic old Hip song back on the charts (ie: Rage Against the Machine in the UK last year hitting #1 and making promise of a live show if they do hit #1), and get them too play a live show if they do hit number one! Maybe we use Canada Day as the goal of hitting #1?

Anyone? Thoughts???

That last paragraph was hard to read.

Im just as upset as you are, but maybe its time for the boys to enjoy a summer with their fams at home.
But I agree, one or two large festival shows would be amazing.

Does the band not seriously deserve a summer off if they want one? Yeesh.

To say we "deserve" a show is to say that the band "owes" their fans something.

They owe nothing. Suggesting they do is incredibly selfish and whiny.

Gord is so on the solo thing right now. It sucks but we are at least a year out from another live Hip show. It kind of pisses me off but I really like the new solo album and there is a good chance Gord will play Seattle. (nudge nudge wink wink)

Drive to Vancouver if he doesn't. Less than 3 hours, no? I drove to detroit from toronto (just over 4 hrs) for a concert. Stayed the night. Great experience. Hope to do it again.

Yep sure is less than 3 hours from Seattle but NegPhil is in Olympia which is even further south. Ok for me, I am way north and only an hour from the border so I drive to Vancouver all the time for shows. Speaking of which, only about 88 hours until OLP!!!!!!! :jump :jump :jump

Sorry, off topic I know...............Hope Gord does head west for some solo shows. I've not seen him solo before but really like his music.

All I'm hearin' is youuuuuuuu
