Anybody heard Sarah Harmer's new single "Captive" yet? It's a great little song, not to mention insanely catchy. It's currently streaming on her website:

About time. Been a long time since she's done much. Complete turn around from the earthy I'm A Mountain. Does anyone else here any Metric in that?

Now that you mention it, there's definitely a little bit of Metric/Emily Haines in there. Good call.

I've read that this album will be made up of leftover tracks form the No Line on the Horizon sessions (kinda like Amnesiac by Radiohead). Bono mentioned in an interview last year that they wrote and recorded around 25 songs and that they could've released a double album. But instead they pared it down to 11 for NLOTH. Aside from the atrocious "Get On Your Boots", I really enjoyed their last album and I'm curious to hear what these other songs sound like.

Zooropa was a bunch of leftover tracks from Achtung Baby, wasn't it.

Not really. The two albums are linked in many ways, but that isn't one of them. Zooropa was written while touring Achtung (the Zoo TV tour) and recorded between the 3rd and 4th legs. It was inspired by the tour and Actung itself and is a continuation of sorts, but not leftovers.

great news (from Exclaim!):

The latest New Pornographers record, Together, isn't out until Tuesday, but band's de facto front-man Carl Newman is already thinking ahead to its follow-up. But if you’re looking for some reissues of some of his out-of-print earlier work, you might not want to hold your breath.
