Happened to see it on the ticker on CP24 this morning. Searched ticketmaster, phoenix website. Nothing. Did a google search and found above. Apparently tickets went on sale yesterday.

Will they or won't they be there? Who knows, but I got my tickets.

Damn, thought I was the 1st to post about this-sorry, used the search feature, but didn't find that, just a bunch of stuff on holiday valley ski area.

I don't know who's performing, but if history repeats it will sell out and the hip will announce they are in the lineup. Regardless, it's a pretty cool show.

Hey All, a little bird told me that the Holiday Jam this year is going to have quite the lineup. . . . I also know there are still some tickets available - if you haven't been before - and you want to see some Great music and support the SickKids Foundation - next Monday Night at the Phoenix.

Announced acts are: Sam Roberts, Kathleen Edwards, Sarah Harmer

So I guess you are saying The Hip are going to play right? :thumb:

want to be a nobody without peer
want to be a thought that's never done
want to shake your faith in human nature
want to break the hearts of everyone
want to be your wheezing screen door
want to be your stars of Algonquin
want to be your roaring floorboard
want to break the hearts of everyone

I am saying that it will be a great night of music and that as Hip fans, you will appreciate having something to do on a Monday night. Other than that, I am not allowed to say anything. . . there are three announced acts, as I mentioned, and I am going to be there. Oh, did I mention it is in Support of Sick Kids Hospital Foundation?

Robbie did say after the Manchester show that he wouldn't be there as he's going to Cuba. Gord might be doing some solo stuff or something though. I can't offer any more info than that, and of course, I could well be wrong - Just reporting what I heard. Smile

I'm in along with three friends. It was suppose to be me and a friend, however somehow, either through an unseen error for myself or a glitch on the ticketbreak site, four tickets were purchased instead of two. While I know it's highly unlikely, I'm blaming the site - I clearly selected two.

Oh well. More holiday joy to be spread.

Suggestions for pre game? Gabby's at the bottom of the Hotel Isabella? (which, if I'm not mistaken, is a fairly important location in Hip lore from their pre-signed days, long before it was a Gabby's) Brass Taps on Carlton?

Cheers,

Pat

Three reasons I hate having no money and studying for exams.

1. Attack in Black and John K. Sampson are opening for (ughh) The Constantines this Friday at Lee's Palace
2. Matt Good is playing Massey Hall (twice) and both in Peterborough and Belleville this month
3. I'm now getting pseudoconfirmation that in addition to three of my favourite artists (SRB, Kathleen Edwards and Sarah Harmer) the Hip will be playing at Holiday Jam again this year.

And I can't go to any of them (Still holding out hope I can scrape together some cash for one of the Matt Good shows).

Yes.

Gabby's is about three-four blocks up the street, not too far at all, between Wellsley and Bloor. I think it would easily do the trick.

Cheers,

Pat
