Does anyone on here have a copy of the orignal album?
I thought someone here did - I remember about a year ago the Hugh Dillon website offered it to a few people.
Anyone, anyone?

NEWS FROM HUGHDILLON.COM

Thank you to everyone who signed up to receive news about Hugh Dillon. This is the first official update on "all things Hugh" in a very long time so thanks for your patience. Hugh has some exciting things happening and we wanted to make sure all of you know about what's coming up.

NEW ALBUM: WORKS WELL WITH OTHERS First off, next Tuesday (October 13) is the official North American release date for Hugh's album, Works Well With Others. This album contains fourteen of Hugh's latest songs. If you happened to follow Hugh's musical career after the Headstones and into the Hugh Dillon Redemption Choir you might recognize a few of the tracks off of this album but the majority of them are brand new, further demonstrating that despite Hugh's very successful acting career, he has never strayed far from his musical roots.

The first 150 fans to pre-order Hugh's record through his store at Maplemusic.com will receive an autographed copy of the album. Itunes is the exclusive retailer in the United States offering the album digitally. Note: Maplemusic can ship anywhere in the world, so even if you are not an Itunes customer, you can still purchase Hugh's album through his store at Maplemusic.com.

You can listen to the whole album via the music player on Hugh's website now.

Picked up Hugh's new album today. I'm still somewhat disappointed that I've already heard half this album before, but the 7 new songs are all great.

I'm actually wondering the same thing. From what I know, these are the songs from the original recording sessions that have been cut from the new "official" album released today:

Perpetual State
Compromises
Sail Away
Towing The Party Line
Laughlines
Final Analysis
Sorrytown (from Durham County)
That's What I Get for Listening

Anybody have these??

I was going to pick this album up yesterday until I saw the that half the songs appeared on the HDRC album. I was really looking forward to hearing this album since it was completed quite awhile ago. How is the new material? What does it sound like?

I'd say it's in the same vein as the material from "High Cost of Low Living". A couple of the songs have more of a "pop" sensibility with lots of keyboards and piano. It also sounds like the the majority of the older songs have been remixed for the new album. The new songs are all terrific, and there isn't a single dud among them. If you're a fan it's worth buying the album I think.
