It's not that bad.

Though I do agree with this:

"the team's name is the Sabres. We believe that it is time for a reminder."

This statement, however, is a little over the top:

"The proposed design that has found its way onto the internet and various news outlets is an embarrassment for the Buffalo Sabres, their fans, and the Western New York community. It resembles neither a buffalo nor a sabre."

Poor choice? Maybe. Embarrassment? That's a stretch.

I think it's head and shoulders above the black and white version personally, although it would be nice if there was a sword or two in there.

Is this petition going to change anything?

I hear its a done deal and does not look as bad along with the entire uniform.

I don't care for it, but I think in time I can adjust.

The guy responsible for these Celsius designs was the front runner to design the new uni's but it was all cut off when he posted items from the initial meeting with Larry Quinn on a message board. The Sabres found out and decided to go in a different direction, probably b/c they didn't want private conversation all over the Web. It's kind of working, b/c Sabres fans still do not know what the overall jersey concept will look like. This "slug" logo could be for the 3rd jersey...who knows.

These jerseys are pretty nice....mix of old and new. Looks good in my opinion.

I'm right there with you. I saw those a while back and loved them. Thanks for finding the link! Those are definately the way to go. Hey at least we don't have the Ducks logo. I like the old one better.

I'm right there with you. I saw those a while back and loved them. Thanks for finding the link! Those are definately the way to go. Hey at least we don't have the Ducks logo. I like the old one better.

hahaha you beat me to that post, Buffalo has had some good years in the 90's but I dont think Buffalo fans are in any position to put down the Habs.
