Didn't add or subtract from the series for me. Some cool action sequences, but overall the film wasn't exactly what I expected (I expected plot development that tied into the whole series... although it does try to tie into the first Terminator movie).
I was glad to see it on the big screen though, and to me marks the beginning to the kickass summer movie season (I haven't seen Star Trek yet).
Anyone else seen it?

The reviews for Terminator have been pretty mixed. But I'm seeing it anyway on Saturday. Star Trek kicks all kinds of ass. There's a discussion about it going on over here:

Saw Terminator today, I thought it was pretty kick ass, great action, the story was decent, sure it was lacking substance but this film was always going to be about action and so it wasnt a total let down, I'm looking forward to the next one.*
*If you saw the movie you know what I mean, and I dont think it will be fair to judge this one on its own until the next movie is done to see how it all ties together, I like where its going.
Imagine a world before the "beginning was the word.”

I enjoyed it as well. It's certainly not as bad as the critics are making it out to be, and it's a better movie than T3. Decent story, great action, and amazing special effects. Bale plays a mean John Connor and Anton Yelchin was pretty solid as the young Kyle Reese, but I thought the movie really belonged to Sam Worthington's "Marcus" character. I hope they bring him back for the next one.
