Modern Times -> Tell Tale Signs -> Together Through Life. This is a man who's ostensibly in the twilight of his career.

Well it's got him his first UK number 1 in about 29 years, so can't be all that bad can it
Still picking up the elderly from the floor, still dealing with the drunks, now wrestling seals and posting it on twitter.. @richardilderton

I heard some of this album on a review done on NPR. It just didn't do much for me, and I'm a pretty big Dylan fan (although not one of those crazy Dylan fans who has EVERYTHING--the "born again" albums kinda scare me as does most of his mid-eighties output between Infidels and Oh Mercy). I liked Love and Theft, but Modern Times didn't float my boat all that much and not sure about Together through Life. I do think that I should give Modern Times another shot, as I don't think I was in the right mood for it when it first came out.
Sorry, kind of a meandering post here, just putting in my two cents. Someone out there please convince me that I need to pick up Modern Times and Together through Life!

I've got this for the good lady's birthday tomorrow... so no doubt I'll be subjected to it a fair few times over the next couple of weeks

I'm absolutly loving this album, but then again, I'm one of those Dylan nerds Bookhead was talking about.
