Excellent.
We had a camera in Row 2 on the floor. Two angles will be pretty sweet for a DVD. And I've got the full acoustic set in HD on video.
I said hello to the few basers gathering at intermission around the taping in Row B (2)...I imagine the video will be pretty nice from that vantage as I was in the same row and man, what a show! nice to meet you guys and enjoy tonight!
As per my 2 cents on this show -- I saw them in NYC and Boston and this was the best of the three - The sound in the middle of the second row was just amazing.
They had a couple of 3 song sequences in this show last night that were incredible, including:
--- something on - FC and Eldorado <actually an argument could be made for a nice 7 song sequence to open>
and
---springtime - queen and, of course 3 pistols...3 pistols was a huge treat and as Jeff mentioned, it was absolute vintage! Baker was on fire and having a blast throughout the show - actually the interaction of the band tonight, and on this tour, is the best i have ever seen. You can just tell the lads are having fun!
As for the Gordie's wipeout...I am guessing he is feeling it now as he kinda came down ribs-first on the sound monitor...and Paul and Gord S. did start making their way to him but realized he was ok. Of course, Locked did not miss a beat and it was a great closer.
Cool diverse crowd and I expect that a few gems will be in the air tonight and Tuesday.
Lastly, Depression Suite is quickly climbing my personal ranking of my fave live tunes...I just love it.
Looking forward to further reviews and hope everyone enjoys the next couple shows as I will be living vicariously thru your reviews etc...
Cheers, Edward
