I DID! I thought I saw them usher out a drunk girl and wondered if she fell into the spotlight. Crazy moment.

THE BEST HIP SHOW I'VE EVER SEEN AND PERHAPS THE BEST SHOW THEY'VE PLAYED IN THE LAST 10 YEARS OR SO....
That said, I think the band has FINALLY realized it's time to stop neglecting the majority of there musical library. THANK GOD.
"We've never played this one before. Well I mean we've played it, but just never live. That doesn't make us a heck of a band, but it makes this a heck of a night. This ones called The Bear."
I think that quote, which I'm sure isn't perfectly accurate because I was pretty drunk, says it all. "The misunderstood" Music At Work album has always been one of my favorites and it was a first time I've heard Stay, The Bear (obviously), and Tiger the Lion live before. Let me just say that Tiger the Lion was unfucking real, easily could have been the best track of the night and it made for an epic 2nd encore.
The set list was almost too good to be true, as your all aware of by now. Can't fucking wait for the Montreal and Massey Shows. Going to be a hell of a tour.

Wow, that setlist has set the bar quite high for the rest of the tour! Stay tuned for Toronto #4...

I'd trade my two live viewings of the song "Montreal" to hear "The Bear" acoustic live...
Who played what on this song? I remember the logistics of three guitars and a bass never seemed to work in the past...
Did anyone record this?
Mav...any chance we'll hear this one as a SOTD? Pretty please with sugar on top...

I almost shit myself upon viewing that setlist. Glory to Gord!
With that, Music @ Work has finally entered the mainstream hip library. Looking forward to Dark Canuck live in 2011.

Wow, we can only hope that this format brings many many more rarities! The possiblilites are endless.... Love the idea of an acousitic set in the middle...very nice. Finally the band is embracing their great musical catalog! Fun for us and for the band!! Cant wait for both Detroit shows :thumb:

I can appreciate the fact that a lot of us are going nuts over this setlist. I guess what disappoints me is the fact that out of all the non-new songs, I think I have seen them all live except "The Bear."
Personally, I need to see more songs unfold. It was a good set, but with 3-4 shows per city, I'm still holding on to the best of what is to come. And I have no shame in saying that.

want to be a nobody without peer
want to be a thought that's never done
want to shake your faith in human nature
want to break the hearts of everyone
want to be your wheezing screen door
want to be your stars of Algonquin
want to be your roaring floorboard
want to break the hearts of everyone

I was back in NB last night, and went to visit Sean. He had this page up to refresh, and as soon as I saw that Eldorado had been played, I simply knew what it was going to turn out to be.
Montreal in one week. Dreams might just come true. And i think NegPhil summed it up pretty good on a page or so back.
Wow. Again.

I didn't read the thread, but the set-list looks pretty damn sweet! I would have LOVED to see them play Stay i've always liked that song for some reason. (and although unrelated aside from being opposites, i've always loved Leave too... "Where the blind feed the blind, whisperin' things like "On the money" and "Bulls-eye" That's one of my favorite lyrics of all-time.
I certainly couldn't say i'd be disappointed with this show, but i'd be sad not to hear Recluse, Speed River, Frozen and LIAF But I suppose they are playing more shows in T-dot anyways for people to see those lol.
