Peca is going, Pronger is going, Laraque might be going (not that he's awesome, but he does bring a lot of energy), and now it's said that Rolie is considering Detroit.
Edmonton might go back to their growing pain years.

So it appers Mr. Lowe wants Kaberle and Steen for Pronger. I can't say I wouldn't jump at the opportunity to land a horse like that, someone who can log over 30 mins a game night in night out, for an overrated d-man and a relatively talented forward who will probably never amount to all-star quality.

Plus, at $6-mill per year for the next 4(!!!) years, Pronger's a steal.

This rumour must be taken with a grain of salt, of course, because EVERYONE'S been traded to the Leafs at some point in their career in the media circles.

I have heard several things:

Pronger to:

Florida for Bouwmeester + Horton + Draft pick

Pittsburgh for Gonchar, Marc Andre Fluery + Draft Pick

and now the Leafs one.

ugh....

Al Montoya & Petr Prucha as the centerpiece

Montreal should get in on this too and offer them Bonk and Souray, hell throw in Ribeiro too if you have to!

You do know that Mike Milbury is not the GM in Edmonton, right? Any trade offer involving the words "Radek" and "Bonk" would end the conversation.

I heard Pronger to Philly for Gagne, Prospect, draft pick

ALso, the rumour around here is that Pronger asked for a trade because he was having an affair with a 19 year old Sherwood Park girl, and eventually got her pregnant. For obvious reasons, his wife is none too happy and demanded he moved or she would split.
If this mistress keeps the baby, she could receive up to $46,000 a month in child support from Pronger!

I heard a similar story, but rather than it being a 19 year old girl, it was this woman:

It's similar to why Salo started playing like shit for the Oil.

Comrie nailed his wife.

Salo started playing poorly due to personal problems, and that mega olympic gaff.

Comrie sits next season, gets traded.

Oh, the Soap Opera that is Canadian Hockey.

Man, the volume of stories about players sleeping with other players wives is hilarious. Leeman with Iafrate's wife, Lindros with Brind'Amour's wife, Ted Nolan with Hasek's wife, Jeff Brown with Kirk McLean's wife.....and those are just the ones that I can recall off of the top of my head.

Thats one of the best trades ever, Luongo is the next Brodeur. Bert is a shadow of himself, he's lost the edge, he's still good but not great.

Imagine a world before the "beginning was the word.”

Just once I'd love to have the sports media be consistent on their coverage of NHL buyouts.

According to the Star-Telegram, the Stars will pay the him $4.5 million US over the next two years, money that will not count toward the NHL's $44 million US salary cap.

Yet any time I read about the Leafs buying out Belfour....

The buyout will count for $1.5 million against their salary cap next season.

WTF?!?
