Well, hell. I would have never spotted that. But now it annoys me, too.

Who is the mysterious 6th person?

My guess it's supposed to represent the listener or something. We are the same, after all.

Can't help it. I'm tired enough of people trying wriggle their way around any and every restriction or limitation these days, especially when it concerns 'priveleges'. And when someone hasthe gall to try to rationalizethe abuse of a privelege.....yes...it flat pisses me off.

These days, a call for basic decency is met with things like "take a breath and relax".

What a world we live in......

:?

Yes, what a world we live in, a cess pool of corruption, greed, perversion, dishonesty, cowardice, malice, and ruthlessness...children go hungry and die horrible deaths needlessly every single fucking day, and this is what you worry about?

WAKE THE FUCK UP

Why does an artist create...? To share that creation with the world...if you create to make money, what you're creating is more lies, more problems, and more greed, but it is not truly art, and you're not sharing anything...just taking.

Fuck what record companies says, fuck what the police says, fuck what the government says...think, speak, and act for yourself.

Call to decency my ass, it's bullshit.

Wow, a totaly new sound from the Hip. I love the full on Alt-country vibe. These guys are so talented it blows my mind.

I'm a bit confused. I'm guessing you are aware that In View wasn't the first track from World Container, and maybe I'm missing something... but I haven't read anywhere that this is the lead single.
Anyways, as I'm typing this I realized that you may have just meant a general lead off / first look at the album, because if I do recall correctly, In View was the first track we heard from the album (well, final studio version at least).
I'll just stfu.

want to be a thought that's never done
want to shake your faith in human nature
want to break the hearts of everyone
want to be your wheezing screen door
want to be your stars of Algonquin
want to be your roaring floorboard

I don't really HAVE to reply to this as you basically replied to it for me with your second half, but figured I would help clear the air so you aren't confused lol.

I just meant as in a first "look" at each album... In View from WC and Morning Moon from WATS both being the first studio versions we heard from each. (nothing to do with either song being the first single or being the first song on each album) Wink

i'm loving morning moon... i bet it'll sound even better live, a little stripped down.

first thing i thought of when i saw the album cover was the band's (the band, not the hip) northern lights, southern cross...

Morning Moon is fantastic. Definite Blue Rodeo vibes.

Morning Moon is a "nice" song. It is very good. Mellow but moves along great. But as an album opener. Not sure. I'll have to wait for the rest of the album to see how it fits in. I always thought Are You Ready (IVL) was a horrible album opener (and really a bad song in general) but sound wise MM it's very well produced. Looking forward to the release.
I know that we're supposed to be talking about the new album but are you fucking kidding me? "Are You Ready" is one of the Hip's best songs and is a perfect album opener, you insane person.

I would expect nothing less from the HIP. Great song, great art work. I heard rumors the 6th guy is Elvis Big Grin

Well, that about sums up my current state. Did they channel my thoughts, and if so, do I get a cut of the royalties? Smile
