Giller Prize - etalk - Gord Downie
#1

Sometime this week, I assume, on etalk Gord Downie will be conducting an interview with Joseph Boyden, author of Through Black Spruce

In the weeks leading up to the November 11 broadcast, etalk taps renowned pop culture guests to interview the finalists, including an interview with Joseph Boyden, author of Through Black Spruce by The Tragically Hip's Gord Downie (airdates and full list of guest interviewers to be announced at a later date).

As an ordinary Canadian, let me say how sick I am of these rich artists and their rich galas.

Hear, hear!

Further, as an ordinary Canadian myself, I must say how pleased and filled with pride I am with our Prime Minister's failure to call or in anyway acknowledge Mr Obama's election victory yesterday.

There's nothing to be proud of when it comes to Harper. He actually makes me ashamed sometimes...

Thanks Dana. Is that viewable outside Canada? If not, let me know and I'll post my capture.

Nice use of a Hip lyrical reference by Gord, and perhaps a joke about a band being big in their homeland but not next door...

Funny how that works. I'm quite ashamed of the guy in your avatar.
