Three encores .. if Kanye West wasn't scheduled at 2:45am I think PJ would have played much longer. In fact Kanye didn't start his set until 4:30am so the suckers that stayed around for that crap got screwed.
10:15pm-1:00am...holy crap
hock: i get 165 minutes by my math
ooops you're right ... i forgot to convert the time to Canadian. :-) It was an 85 minute set followed by 80 minutes of encores. Other hi-lights were Super Jam featuring Les Claypool, members of Gogol Bordello and Kirk Hammett of Metallica doing two hours of Tom Waits songs, Gogol Bordello's main set, Les Claypool's main set, Battles,
Ladytron. Metallica put on a good but predictable set - maybe the same set that I saw set five years. Chris Rock's set was also awesome as well.
The only real disappointing set for me was Broken Social Scene - Kevin Drew's whinning about a broken amp and non-functional keyboard was annoying. Musically it was still pretty good though.
The only other disappointment was that because PJs set went to 1am I missed Sigur Ros set which was 1am-3am. We went over there but it was so packed that we decided just to retire for the night. There was no way in hell I was gonna stand one minute to watch that Kanye clown who I found out started his set 1 hour and 45 minutes late at 4:30am so that his set didn't compete with other artists. Whatta assclown.
This was the 2nd Bonnaroo for me (the 1st time camping). Despite the 13 mile lineup on the interstate, we managed to get into through the backdoor within an hour.
We were all set by 10am on Thursday (doors opened at 7am).
