Wow, quite an exciting finish to game six to say the least. Congrats to the Pittsburgh Penguins, who played a great tough series and I'm sure will be making return trips to the Stanley Cup Finals in the very near future. For us Michiganders, who have seen the Tigers fall flat on their faces this year and the Pistons bow out once again in the NBA playoffs, the Wings winning the cup is very sweet indeed. I know that most hockey fans outside of Michigan think of the Wings as the Evil Empire, and I can understand why. I think if I wasn't a lifelong Michigander, I'd probably feel the same way.

Well, I'm gonna miss Don Cherry's Daily Gary Roberts Update.
Tonight's was a gem : Look, Talbot was sitting beside Gary Roberts on the bench (funny how linemates do that), Roberts said "Let's go boys" and Talbot scored the tieing goal! Ergo, Gary Roberts was responsible for the goal!

Well it sure was a good series. Not getting to see a lot of Detroit games this year I was impressed at how REALLY good they are. Congrats to them and their fans. And once again it's wait till next year. I am well aware that I may never see the Sabres win one till either A: I'm dead or B: they end up moving, which in that case I'll be done watching hockey. I think. I guess I'd have to ask someone Quebec or Hartford how they feel about it. I'm sure I already know the answer.

Overall I thought it was a decent series, but nothing spectacular. Credit to the Pens for providing some excitement along the way, but the end result was never really in doubt after the first two games.
